the intro 2 a clasic

This is the first of the seven broken sky books. The twins, Ryushi and Kia, have lived their sixteen-winter life shelted from the outside world. Each of them have six spirt stones(stones that give the bearer magical powers and are placed by a deliverer in a ceremony called a pah'nu'kah) placed down their spine. Ryushi has sky blue stones of force, while Kia has stones with the power of the earth. They each have spent their years sharpening thier skills to prepare for when their father lets them into the outside world when they come of age(18 winters). One day their father, Banto, returns from Tusami city with their 18 winter brother, Takami, after Banto introduces Takami to the outside world. But Banto brings them a little suprise, an 8 winter child named Elani. Just days later, Ryushi's curiosity and impatiance gets the best of him. But when he asks his father about the truth, Banto just makes him promise to guard Elani with his life. Soon after, their home, Osaka Stud, gets attaked. Ryushi keeps his promise and guards Elani from a odd mummy-like creature. Ryushi and Kia manage to escape the destruction of Osaka Stud on a dragon-like wyvern. But as they head towards Tusami city to find Banto's friends, something is on Ryushi's mind. The mummy like creature called his father a traitor. But they always were told King Macaan was the best thing that happened to the dominions. Something is brewing, and there's only one way to find out what. For the survivors of Osaka Stud, it's onward to Tusami City to find some awnsers.

Such a good story (and I`m 20 :) )

Two teens - Ryushi and Kia live a protected life on a dragon farm, until someday, a tragedy changes it all. They must now learn who their real friends are, how to take care of themselves and how to cope with all the emotions, problems and danger that is all around them. They must realize that not all the things their father tought them are true, and that some friends are in fact the enemies. The book is supposed to be for children and even though it is not hard to read I think almost anybody woul like it. It is very dynamic, but the charachters develop nicely and so does the story.Another thing delighted me about this book (or books) and that is the anime-style artwork that completes it.I loved it, and so would you!

The best series ever

I found this book in a while waiting in a store. The instant that I saw the artwork I though wow cool! Two day latter I finished the book and it was great! It always kept you in suspence. From the fighting to the wyverns. It starts in a small farm with two people Ryushi and Kia. From there the betrayal and lies are incountered. You instently attach yourself to the characters. If you like action this is the book series for you! It has everthig from weapons to magic! The others in this series are just as great! NOTE: THESE BOOKS DO NOT HAVE ANY END. THE NEXT BOOK IN THE SERIES STARTS WERE THE LAST ONE LEFT OFF.

A different sort of fantasy book.

After so many formulaic fantasies for kids and teens (with afew exceptions) it was nice to see a series with a completely originalidea, that wasn't about dragons or wizards or unicorns, or the like. The anime style artwork complemented the story well. Kia and Ryushi are sixteen-year-old twins living in a small village with their father and brother, far from the conflicts that wage in their kingdom. They will not be protected forever. They must learn to fight for their home and their lives if they want to survive in the harsh world out there. I don't really agree with the publisher's suggested age level of ages 9-12. This book is good for that age group, but teens would enjoy it too. The book is not difficult to read, but very enjoyable and exciting.

Whooooooooooo boy...........

This book is absoloutley INCREDIBLE. Full of action, suspense, and great Anime-style artwork. The descriptions are great, make you feel as though you're there yourself, fighting side by side with Kia, Ryushi, Gerdi, Elani, and everybody else. This book was great. I highly recomend it. You have to read this one before you read the second one, which is also beyond comparison. BUY THIS BOOK!
