A gem of a book - Brett's that you've never seen before

This catalog has over 136 images; many of them are not in any of the other Brett catalogues. There are two essays that examine the duality of growing up the son of Edward Weston and succinctly chronicle Brett's life and prolific career. Out of the Shadow: asks, "who influenced who?" and discusses how being the son of Edward caused Brett to be over shadowed and under appreciated. The sensuous, rich and lyrical photos are the gems in this catalogue: the underwater nudes, sand dunes, architectural and nature abstractions, plus more. A must-have for the Brett Weston fan or simply one who appreciates world class B & W abstractions of nature and the man-made.
