I read the back of this at a local shop:

When I saw the picture on the front and I think that someone (maybe me if I could get the funding for them, I used to be a sound engineer but due to bad economy then you get the picture, things have been rough lately) - should turn it into a movie as well as the books by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child called THE CABINET OF CURIOSITIES AND THE BOOK OF THE DEAD - I believe that they would make fantastic low budget films or movies as some would call them. Action, adventure, romance, suspense...

Finally, a female action character who doesn't sound like a typical romance heroine! Shelby Parker knows how to think on her feet no matter how horrifying the circumstances. Finally, an action adventure with men who don't always have to take center stage! This is high drama, without the melodrama.Breeding Evil is filled with remarkable characters - the women are refreshing in their strength without all of the uber-sexiness. Finally, powerful women you can admire for their brains, not their beauty. Their lives and actions intertwine in a fascinating read. This book has everything - treachery, suspense, super-technology and even a little bit of love interest.

mega action espionage thriller

After a decade of bouncing from one black op to another, Shelby Parker left the Federal Security Agency. The two pool their efforts though it grates Shelby, who always works alone. As they work together under the covers and undercover, they must save a pregnant woman carrying a special genetically altered fetus who is the prototype of a future obedient soldier who will be sold to the highest bidder. That is if they live long enough to do so for even safe houses are unsafe.Fans of espionage thrillers with no respite from the action once Shelby accepts the case will want to read this fast-paced tale. The story line moves so fast, the audience never is able to catch their breathe even when the heroic duo takes a sexual time out. Though the personal relationship between Mac and Shelby seems off-kilter, genre readers will enjoy this non-stop mega action thriller.Harriet Klausner

Finally Something New & Exciting!!!!

Ms. Wolfe has penned a book that has it all, and I mean all!! A little sci-fi (breeding a meta-human), paranormal (psychic abilities), suspense, action, and great characterization. There is even a little bit of romance but before you go ewwwww....it's very much a sideline storyline and no sex scenes to sidetrack you.Shelby is not your typical female character. She is bold, strong, and very capable. She is out to rescue Shannon and her son Sam from "The Center" and nothing and no one will stop her from reaching her goal. She is a former FSA agent and she has been called back to perform this OP by her old handler. She is sucessful in the fact that she gets into "The Center" and manages to not only rescue Shannon, and Sam but also Zoe. Of course she dosen't just waltz in and waltz out, she uses her great ability at disguise and other things she learned while working for the FSA to make this happen and again this is not the end of the story. Add to this Mac a great looking Aussie that has become to her dismay a partner (she has issues about working with anyone, fact is she doesn't work with anyone at all and if that is not enough she finds herself in her sleep wrapping herself around him and finding him very yummy) he is also working the case from the side of the FBI. There is the added danger that comes from her old handler at FSA headquarters, her conversations seem to lead the bad guys right to her, she knows the Ethan could not possibly be the leak but she can't avoid the fact that the bad guys seem to be in the know as far as safe-houses and rescues. Who is the mole in the FSA? They need to find out before this person manages to ruin everything. This was an extremly fast-paced read that managed to maintain it's momentum throughout the entire novel. I made the mistake of thinking it would be a great book to read on my way home from Germany. Well, it was in fact so good that I managed to drop my responsiblity of reading the map and my husband and I saw a little more of Germany then we planned! I can hardly wait for the next book by this author. For a debut novel this is strong and shows that Ms. Wolfe has great potential and she has quite the imagination as well. For an entertaining read pick up this book!
