I got this book yesterday and read it from cover to cover last night. Reading about her childhood is in a word 'heartbreaking' and I could understand if she could still harbor ill feelings against her parents, I had to fight the urge to harbor ill feelings against her parents and I don't even know them. As to the comments that this is a tell all, to attack a fellow christian is shameful, and so "The Lord Rebuke You". This young lady has shown courage and a love for the unlost that obviously those who criticize her do not possess. This is yet another wonderful story of redemption and hope, and it is supported by bible scriptures throughout the book. Thank you for your book Tracy and welcome to the family.

Oh how I applaud Tracy's honesty. I can not tell you how similar our stories are of our pasts. Not only the stories of our pasts, but also how we dealt with the past. I am discovering more and more about myself and about human nature as I grow in truth/Christ. Learning about Tracy's courageous journey to deal with the pains from her past, and seeing her committment to God and His purposes, is just motivating and inspiring to me for my own growth. Awesome!
thanks for your courage

My wife bought this book and I read it in one night! The transparent honesty with which she writes is truly courageous. The story was compelling, inspiring and almost unbelievable. If you are a person with suffering or abuse in your background and are looking for the strength to keep going, this book will surely point you in the right direction.
Inspiring Story

This is an inspiring story that so many can relate to. Author Tracy Melchior is very honest about her extremely dysfunctinal upbringing (when she was young, she and her sister were left for weeks at home alone!) and how those set the stage for many bad choices as an adult. Kudos to the author for being so transparent about her shortcomings over the years. I feel like I know her after reading this book.
