The first argument of this book is the urgent need to reset architectural and urban planning practices, which is essential for the preservation of our planet and to ensure our long-term survival. The author believes that this reset could be accomplished by elevating architecture and urban planning both physically and spiritually. The aim is to create environmentally friendly and self-sufficient communities, constructed with innovative modular systems, and linked by elevated fast trains. Major future urban development shall take place above the ground with minimal interference with the natural environment. The second argument is that the existential conflict between human society and the natural world could be resolved only by planning for people to live and work in the immediate vicinity of the earth. This will permit the Earth to recover and be preserved as a museum for future generations to visit from outer space. The effort to promote extraterrestrial human habitat should be a necessary complement, and not a substitute for supporting the efforts to curb climate change, which is part of the first argument of this book. Chapters 1, 2 & 4 introduce the modular building systems invented by the author, and their application to adaptable, affordable, and accessible housing. Chapters 3 & 5 describe his concepts for elevated urbanism, using his modular systems. In Chapter 6 the author shows how honeycomb modules could be used for building space stations with artificial gravity. Proposed Audience: * All those who care about the Earth and are interested in innovation. * Architects, engineers, and those who teach and study these professions. It could inspire them for achieving professional reconciliation with the natural environment, and to contribute to effective action for adapting to climate change. * Progressive real estate developers, who are searching for new opportunities, may find my modular designs a good fit for their innovative developments. * Space physicists and other experts involved in space exploration, may be interested in evaluating my architectural concepts for creating space stations with artificial gravity.
