Perry Bradley is a Navajo/Hopi Indian with a bit of white blood two generations back. He was raised on a remote Reservation in the Arizona/New Mexico border area, with little contact with the outside world. He becomes friends with the tribal Medicine Man and is schooled in the spiritual ways of his people. The Medicine Man takes him on a spirit quest where he discovers that he can communicate with the spirits. He is asked to assist in the fight against evil in the living world and is told that he will be assisted and taught what he needs to know for the task. The time is 1990 and Saddam Hussein has invaded Kuwait. Perry feels led to go to the Middle East and the spirits prepare him for the task. He impresses the CIA enough that he is hired to work with the Saudi Arabian government during the force build up to retake Kuwait. His quest is exciting enough of itself, but when he selects two pilots to accompany him behind Iraqi lines to gather intelligence, he gets more than the help he asked for. Both are devout Christians, though one is Arabic. What happens when the three religious cultures are thrown together in a common cause. Come along and see why Perry Bradley is such a paradox.
