Life moves on for our favorite HYD characters...

If you've read all of the manga (or just read up on all of the spoilers), then proceed with this review. If you haven't, then you may want to skip the 2nd part of the review since this manga takes place after the regular series, I will be discussing it a bit in this review. The first part is spoiler free & just talks about whether I liked the manga or not. You have been warned, so no complaints! If you haven't read the end of the manga yet & are wondering if you should purchase it, then I would recommend it. It's a nice manga & I really enjoyed reading it & seeing how all of the characters have progressed. I do have to warn you, if you are looking for concrete endings, you won't find it in this volume. Also, if you are sort of tired of the manga, you may want to hold off on getting this immediately- while I enjoyed it, I can see where some might not like it as much as I did. Now, on with the semi-spoiler review! This manga contains two stories, both of which take place a few years after the end of the manga. In the first story Tsukasa is still overseas & Tsukushi misses him dearly. Despite their best attempts to stay in contact, it doesn't replace human contact. Rui has been coming over quite frequently, much to Tsukasa's ire when he discovers this. Can a trip to see Shizuka's wedding mend fences? The second story is entirely about Rui & how he reflects over everything that has happened over the course of the series & wonders whether or not he can truly move on or if he is capable of loving again. While I will admit that this manga doesn't entirely give a lot of closure to the series, it was a pleasure to read. I liked seeing the characters a few years down the road & I liked seeing how they matured. (Some didn't change much, but that's manga for you.) One of my favorite parts of the manga had to be at the end where the author has a question & answer part where she goes over some of the things she was thinking about while she wrote the series & the manga for Jewel Box. It's nice to see some of the thoughts that went through her head & she gives her views on each character. (One fun part was seeing one of the things that went through her head while she wrote the Wedding chapter.) If you haven't read the series in it's entirety, you will probably want to skip this volume for now. If you didn't really like the series to begin with, you should skip it for good- there's nothing in here that will change your mind. If you've finished the series & liked it, you'll more than likely love this volume. It doesn't bring a lot of new things to the table, but it was clearly crafted by the author with lots of love.

You can possible buy it?

In reality I want to give this 3 stars but because I'm such a huge fan I want to make it look a little better. Look, if you are a huge fan like me and have the money, go for it. Otherwise, if you could use the extra money towards something better then do that. I read this manga in one day and I was a little dissappointed. I mean, if you're keeping the manga and live action series as two separate things, then nothing gets any closure in this. I don't want to spoil anything, but nothing big happens. There's also a story with Rui and whether he is truly over his feelings with Makino. If anything this bonus Manga is good for some classic laughs that the series has, but it really did not make a difference in how the manga series ended. But do buy if you can spare the money, because it is fun to read.
