What do you do when you fall for a demon?

This book was a smoking hot read for me. I fell in love with Riana and Creed, plus her sister Sybils created a diverse background. You see Riana is fighting to save her city and the world from the Legion, a demonic organization. The problem comes smacks her in the face with her feeling for Creed who works for the Occult Crime Division. Creed, is not totally a human. He is struggling with the half of his nature. Their relationship cause a rift with her fellow sisters, and compromises their success in the battle against the Legion. Ms. Windsor has created a world with a diverse cast of characters with different abilities. Even the bad guys have a wide range of powers and weaknesses. Even the secondary characters jump from the pages of her story. I hope all that read this, take the time to check out this book and the other two in the trilogy.

OMG! LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!

This was one of the best new paranormals that I have read in a long time. The characters and plot were well written. I accidently happened on this book and thought it looked interesting but I was a bit concerned about reading an author I had never heard of. Boy, was I wrong! Another reviewer mentioned that "it's hard not to get wrapped up in the sheer beauty and power of the world the author created..." She was spot on! I was so wrapped up in it I finished the book in one night, couldn't put it down! I was also concerned at first that since the author had written 'erotica' all I would be reading was sex, sex and more sex. Yes there was some pretty hot sex, but it all balanced out into a very wonderful tale. I couldn't wait for the next book in the series. I'm just sorry that it's only a trilogy. Maybe if we beg hard enough, we'll get more????

Phenomenal!

Anna Windsor does a marvelous job at building her world and making it work for her in BOUND BY SHADOW. The concepts of the Sibyls, Asmodai, and elemental powers have a strong basis in legends but Ms. Windsor puts her own sexy and sassy spin on them. It's hard not to get wrapped up in the sheer beauty and power of the world she has created, with the various aspects of good and evil creating a very potent storyline. BOUND BY SHADOW is more plot driven than character driven but this isn't to say the characters are weak by any means! Rather, Anna Windsor's characters evoke deep emotions from the reader as they make sacrifices in their quests to ultimately "do the right thing". Creed is a unique hero, a man who literally is at war with himself. His struggle is an emotional one and one that still leaves me impressed by the strength of his inner convictions. Riana is quite a contrast, a woman in a position of power but unsure of her leadership skills. The clash between these two is an interesting one as the heart wars with what the head says. Excellent urban romantic police procedural fantasy

The Sybils are powerful women who have pledged to use their skills to keep the evil Legion from enslaving humanity. In New York, the three Sybil Dumain sisters Riana, Cynda and Merilee are shocked when they meet Occult Crimes Unit police detective Creed Lowell, as he is different; not quite fully human yet not any other known species. Creed knows what he is not as every moment he is battling to keep his "other" self under control. When a murderous demon attacks the siblings, they know they are in deep trouble. Creed is at their side, but the Dumain sisters, especially Riana even though she is falling in love with the half human, have doubts he is on their side. Fans of dark urban romantic fantasy will want to read Anna Windsor's paranormal Manhattan police procedural as the action is non stop, the atmosphere pure grit, and the cast badass. The story is fast-paced as Riana and Creed are falling in love while battling a serial killing demon and their feelings. With two Sybil siblings to follow, sub-genre fans will feel "bound" to read Cynda and Merilee's futuristic thrillers. Harriet Klausner

Fantastic!!

Loved this book! I had no idea what I was getting into when I picked it up, it was just suppose to be a filler as I wait for new releases from my fav's but I have to tell you...I was hooked from the first chapter. Bound By Shadow is packed with action and suspense, interesting and believable characters, and HOT sex scenes! Demons, the Legion and witches Oh My!! Ms. Windsor has now made my Fav's list, absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!
