Sexy

It was a fast read. I think they fell in love rather fast, but it is a romance novel. I loved the hero. He had a smoldering sexiness about him. The heroine irked me a little, but in the end it was a good read.

Loving Conspirators

Bound by Moonlight by Angela Weaver is an interesting story of growing love and attraction set against a backdrop of politics and loyalty. Dakota Montgomery is an award- winning journalist on assignment in Japan. She is sent to cover U.S./Japanese trade talks. Though her focus is on the talks she is also interested in finding out information about Senator Peter O'Connor, a lifetime friend and man she once loved. Blake Holland is a handsome, wealthy financier who through hard work and determination amassed a fortune and international political clout. He has been appointed the new Assistant U.S. Global Trade Representative working to avert a trade war. His focus has always been on work and family. He has never allowed his heart to be taken. Dakota and Blake are attracted on sight. However, once Blake discovers Dakota is a journalist he vows to distrust her. Dakota on the other hand is distrustful of Blake once she discovers he is investigating Peter. It is believed that Peter is on the verge of committing espionage. They are forced to work together on an assignment to discover what Peter's dealings are with ruthless businessman, Nobu Toshinori. Dakota is convinced Peter is innocent. From the start they are torn between their distrust of each other and their increasing desire and attraction. Dakota's mission is to prove Peter's innocence, while Blake's focus is the truth. Bound by Moonlight's main plot is on the growing attraction between Blake and Dakota. There is a fair amount written about the trade wars and politics but the focus is on the attraction and relationship of the primary characters. There were several erotic encounters between Blake and Dakota that added heat and spice to the novel. Bound by Moonlight is a recommended read for lovers of romance with a backdrop of politics and intrigue. Angelia Menchan APOOO BookClub
