Why didn't I think of that?!

Not very often do you find a book that is fun, helpful and inspiring, but this fits the bill! Have already incorporated some of the $ saving ideas. Am glad I found this (and their other books are just as good).

Good, but read carefully

This book has some practical tips for common household and grooming problems. I tried a several tips, and they seem to work as presented. However, I did catch some contradictory advice. On p. 2, while extolling the virtues of distilled white vinegar as an all-purpose cleaner, the book has several cautions, including the following warning: "NEVER use (distilled) white vinegar on your teeth. It dissolves calcium." Then, on p.160, the book presents the following advice on one cure for bad breath: "After eating onion, garlic or anything else that stays on your breath, dip your toothbrush in a small amount of distilled white vinegar and brush your teeth as well as your tongue. This should help clean your breath and may even help whiten your teeth." Other than this apparent contradiction, the book has some novel and inexpensive tips. I tried the advice on using aloe vera gel as a substitute for hair gel, and I am satisfied with the results. I'm sure aloe vera is much better for scalp's health, too, although this isn't mentioned as a reason to use it in lieu of hair gel.

Some great time and money savers in this book

I have just scanned the book looking at a few of the ideas presented. They tell you how to remove various kinds of spots, cleaning hints, and repair hints. There is even a hint on unplugging a toilet without a plunger!!! That can be very useful. Need a Christmas gift for someone who likes Do It Youself projects. This might be the ideal gift to get.

Good, but free.

This is a handy book for the kitchen, showing how to care for produce, or how to substitute one ingredient for another when you are out of something. The real puzzle is that this book is a freebie when you buy "Secret Food Cures." However that book is sold without the freebies (2 books, 3 pamphlets), so I guess the seller is too greedy to do it right. On the other hand, if you want this book, and not the others, this is for you.
