Courage to be controversial

Rudmin deals with respect and indeed even love for both the Canadian and American people. He courageously documents that American foreign policy is capable of being a loose cannon on the world stage and might even role over Canada's toes if let loose. As one solution to the threat he proposes keeping the Can-AM public informed of the risks as well as the benifits of close friendship. Honest and sensible people will not find his book threatening or foolish although, remarkably, he has in some quarters been smeared in just such terms for his effort.
