What a great book.

I highly recommended this book.All of the documents are either forgotten over the years or just plain not taught in the classroom.Makes a wonderful gift especially for our children.

A Guided Tour of the Political History of the United States

I bought this book in the USA in 1989 when on holiday and found it one of the most useful books I have ever read. Each document has a few pages outlining the document itself, such as the Gettysburg Address, and the historic context in which it was delivered. I found the section on the Constitution of the USA particularly helpful in understanding the political origins of the country I was visiting. Thoroughly recommended.
