A great find on book collecting

I found this quite by accident in a used bookstore that was going out of business, and got it at a steal. The editor of this book is Richard Booth, who is known as the founder of the bookselling venture in Hay-on-Wye in England. The book itself is a sort of introduction on the subject for lay persons, and the contributors are those who are or have [keep in mind this is a 1976 publication] been associated with the antiquarian and used book trade. The book is divided into several sections: Introduction How and What to Collect The Book Before 1800 The Illustrated Book Natural History Philosophy and Religion Children's Books Victorian Fiction Modern First Editions Glossary Bibliography Index There are beautiful photographs, illustrations [color and B & W] throughout the book which makes this a delight to read. Highly recommended [if you can track a copy down] for the book collector and book lover.
