"Bones," detective extraordinaire is on the job again ~ you gotta love this guy!

Jeffrey Bones was a junior detective. Mr. Gale, his teacher, was always losing things like his glasses and of course Bones was right there to help him every time. That day the assignment was to write the letter J. If Mr. Gale was always losing things, Jeffrey was forgetting them. Today they were going to have a math test. YUK! "I hate math tests," he said. Of course one girl piped up and said, "not me." Now that was Amy, the girl lots of people called "Not-Me-Amy." It didn't take a detective to figure out why. Everyone completed the test and brought them up to Mr. Gales desk. "I wish we didn't have to learn about numbers," Bones claimed just before lunch. "Not me." After lunch Jeffrey's math test was not to be found, but you-know-who got all the answers right. Everyone was going to make Thanksgiving cards, but he was going to have to take the math test again. Ah, ha! This was a mystery because he knew he took the test. He went into his detective mode and began to get to work. Out came his detective bag. There was some really useless stuff in there, but he did know how to think. "I'm a detective . . . I know I put my test on Mr. Gale's desk." Would Bones be able to make those turkey cards after all or would he have to take that test again? Bones, detective extraordinaire was on the job! Bones is a detective the young reader has fallen in love with. If you want a bit of action, amusement and a lot of fun, you've come to the right place. This is a Level 2 Viking Easy-to-Read book. It has short sentences, simple dialogue and can be read with another person. I think the reader will take this book, read it alone and rush for the next Jeffrey Bones mystery.
