Award winning author Katherine Garbera turns up the heat in this novel of love between a sultry female fire fighter and the man who makes her so glad to be a woman.
I spend a lot of time reading romance books and this one is one of my favorite books of all time. I just couldn't put this one down. The romance between Angie and Tucker was very steamy. Makes me wish that Tucker was a real person.
Great debute

Body Heat is more romance than suspense, but it will leave readers tingling for more from this author. Tucker Fields is a fire investigator who has no ties - especially to women. Andrea O'Rourke is a woman who also has no ties - especially because she is one of the few female fire chiefs in the nation. When these two meet over a case, their chemistry is combustible. But they have to work through their inner vulnerabilities before they can be together. The arson investigation is less than a subplot, but details of it are nicely woven into the main story of Tucker and Andi's relationship. The author also leaves enough open to start a romantic series featuring the O'Rourke family. The writing is tight, bright and flows naturally. This is a GREAT read and I would more than pay full price. I look forward to more from this author.

Body Heat by Katherine Garbera is an intense tale of firefighters and their lives. Andi O'Roarke is unique in her chosen field, she is a fire chief and a woman to boot. Andi prides herself on not letting her being a female get in the way of her doing her job. When there are some questionable fires in her district she if forced to hire outside help. This help comes in the package of all male arson investigator Tucker Fields. Tuck brings out the feminine side of Andi that she didn't know she processed. Tucker Fields excels at his job, he loves putting all the clues together to solve the case. But he is perplexed by his intense feelings and desires for Andi. However the more they have to work together on solving the arsons in her town he fears his love them and leave them way of life is at an end. Tucker and Andi are equals on the job and in the bedroom. Their chemistry is as hot as any fire they would be called to on the job. Each brings out something special in the other. Body Heat was the first book I read by this author and I was delightfully pleased. The sexual heat was off the chart and the emotional tug of the characters kept me reading well into the night. Looking forward to the next book by this author.
One Hot Read

As the title depicts this is one hot read, not only on the firefighting arson side, but on Andi's and Tucker's sideline investigations. Andi O'Rourke is one of handful of fire chiefs that there are in the US. She has had to always fight hard for what she wants, especially growing up in a male household, who are firefighters to boot, putting to the side her feminine feelings to get the job done. Tucker Fields, is an arson investigator assigned to her fire hall because of an ongoing arson problem. But this is just the beginning of her problems, Tucker is so attracted to her from the first encounter who sees past her barricades, and Andi is not sure how to handle it all, especially since she is accustom to being one of the boys, although the feelings Tucker brings out she has to admit she likes even if they confuse her. They burn hotter than any fire that they are investigating, especially when they are alone, but they have so many problems to overcome, will they ever be able to make a go of this relationship or is there any kind of relationship outside of the bedroom?? It is a hot, scorching read from start to finish, that takes you on a few twists and turns along the way. Most of us are familiar with Katherine Garbera from her writings in the Harlequin line. This is her first Single Release for Brava Publishing and I for one am looking forward to more from her.
A Definite Winner!

Andi O'Rourke was raised in a totally male family of firefighters, so it's no surprise that she's one of the few female fire chiefs. But it's hard to maintain her feminity in a job where she has to be one of the guys. When arson investigator Tucker Fields walks into her fire station, Andi is stunned by the way he makes her feel. Tucker wants Andi from almost the moment he meets her. However her job means that if they are to become involved, they will have to keep their relationship quiet so that the men in her firehouse won't know. As the fire burns hotter and hotter between them, Andi is forced to face the fact that she likes how she feels when she's with Tucker. But once Tucker's arson investigation is finished, he's going to be leaving for another investigation in another city. Can they both take a chance on a relationship? I've been reading Katherine Garbera's books since she began writing Silhouette Desires. I have always enjoyed them, but with Body Heat Ms. Garbera proves that she's got what it takes! The relationship between Tucker and Andi is sexy and emotionally satisfying. Both are characters who aren't sure they want to have a true relationship, but can't help falling in love with each other. Add to this the hint of upcoming stories for Andi's brothers, and Body Heat is a definite winner! Melissa Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed
