MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
Bob the Banana Goes Bad is the cutest book about a banana waiting for someone to finally pick him to eat. Along with his friends, some of them being Burnie the Big Bagel, who is the mayor, or Arvid the apple and Patrick the Potato. Meet these friends and more in this beautiful book.
The refrigerator is full of fruits and vegetables just waiting their turn to be picked to eat. None of them wants to stay until they are gone bad. No one wants to be left out. This is such a cute way of teaching children how important each of them is. I love the beautiful colors, the blue cover with Bob the Banana is so pretty. Juan Dias does an amazing job with creating the cover and each of these quirky and fun items in the refrigerator. The expressions on each face is just so adorable. This is a book that any child will want to read over and over. I highly recommend this book to any child’s library and the library of any school, daycare, preschool, and anywhere children will be. Bob the Banana Goes Bad is such an adorable book inside and out. This one is Five Stars for me.

Bob the Banana Goes Bad

Bob the Banana Goes Bad is a wonderful book for young readers by Steve Petzinger and Selai Akbar Hussain. I love that it teaches some wonderful life lessons that so many – young or old – could learn from. Readers will find that we all are important in our own way and sometimes we must be patient to find what that is. It was sweet that the other fruit and vegetable friends work together to help Bob the Banana cheer up and then find out where he went to. I thought the tale was quite cute and sweet that will bring out sprinkles of laughter from time to time.
Bob the Banana Goes Bad is illustrated by the talents of Juan Diaz. The pictures perfectly follow the story. The younger readers will be captivated and be able to hold their attention and continue reading to find out what happens all the way to the end.
Bob the Banana Goes Bad is getting a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for young readers who are between the ages of three and seven. I look forward to reading more books like this from Steve Petzinger and Selai Akbar Hussain in the future. It would make a great addition to the local or school library and even in a little ones’ classroom for story time.
I received a hard cover copy of Bob the Banana Goes Bad from the publisher. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion
