I know Ms. McKim from years ago when she used to come to Indianapolis to visit Ethridge Knight. she is a facinating woman and her poetry is is wonderful, warm, shocking, invocative, very creative. In her book the boat of the dream she discusses womanhood,love, youth and adulthood, rape. a very insightful poet that anyone esp. any woman should look into.
