A movie sound recordist accidentally records the evidence that proves that a car accident was actually murder and consequently finds himself in danger. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This movie came out in 1981. I've seen it a couple of times and really liked it. Recently I wondered if it was based on a book. I looked and found this; bought it on a whim. This appears to be the screenplay adapted to book form. It is very short and a quick read. I was surprised by how well it read as a novel, it is not simply a reprint of the screenplay. The writing is quite good with decent character development and interesting and descriptions of scene. The plot definitely moves along. The book is also set in 1981 and there are plenty of fun elements that remind one of that time almost thirty years ago. No cell phones for example. People actually have to sit by a phone waiting for a call. Small things like that are a lot of fun. I certainly recommend the book as a light entertaining read. It is out of print but can be had used for pennies.
