I used to read the Twilight series as a kid in the 80s and am now collecting and re-reading them as an adult. They're definitely pretty dark for young readers and this one is no exception. A teenage girl buys an antique mirror that belonged to a disturbed homicidal girl from many, many years ago and that's when the terror begins. It's one of the more mature books in this series and holds up after over thirty years. For younger horror fans who want something more scary and serious than what passes for YA horror today and can overlook the dated references and lack of technology, Twilight: Where Darkness Begins won't disappoint.
