The uninterrupted life is not worth living.

Got questions about Catholic family life? You've come to the right place As a lifelong Catholic, devoted wife, diligent homeschooler, and mother of seven, Susie Lloyd knows lots of people who just might have the answers for you.

Susie herself is too busy to give advice: busy giving home haircuts and finding missing socks; busy teaching her teen girls to drive, cook, and diagram sentences;...

An Instant Favorite (and an ongoing laugh)

How could I not buy this book? Susie has long been a favorite writer of mine in places like Faith & Family and I can add nothing to the praise of this book. It's funny, it's well-written, it's Catholic. What's not to love? Well...I'll give that a try. Here's what I didn't like: I didn't like that I snorted my coffee as I tried to snuggle up with it one morning. I didn't like that I couldn't get comfortable while I was reading it, because I was laughing. I didn't like the looks my husband was shooting me across the living room as I laughed -- OUT LOUD, FOR REAL -- and interrupted his peaceful football viewing. I don't like waiting for my friend to finish reading it so I can reread it. I didn't like that it ended.

Full size vans, teenagers, and toddlers, oh my!

Mrs. Lloyd has once again captured the essence of day-to-day family life, using her gift for humor to remind parents everywhere that God smiles on the good and the bad. I picked this little gem up after a rough day in the trenches and couldn't put it down. After about two hours and many joyful tears later, I was thankful that I hadn't woken my children up laughing out loud! I absolutely loved this book!

Homeschool Hilarity,Large family Laughs,Catholic Cacchination

"Bless me Father, for I skipped the family rosary and just let the kids watch videos until midnight so I could read Susie Lloyd's latest in one sitting." That's what I'll have to say next time I confess, but I think if Father read this book he'd hardly blame me. As a long time homeschooler, a mother of seven, and a very conservative Catholic, I was nodding and smiling at how well Susie captures our subculture from the very first page. That progressed to chuckling, giggling, and finally laughing so hard I couldn't hold the book straight. Ironically, the part I found most hilarious would appeal to a mother of any or no faith, where Susie describes how kids and husbands complain that there's "nothing to eat" in the house, when what they really mean is there's no pizza and chips. But she goes on to equally lampoon Mom's point of view: there's all kinds of perfectly edible food in the house -- oatmeal, rice, bouillon cubes, and raisins--what's the matter with the little ingrates? Why can't they just eat that? Then there's another chapter--again with universal(catholic, not just Catholic) appeal, about how you're not really a parent until you've been barfed on. If this last sentence makes you smile rather than gag, you ought to get this book.

Just buy it!!

I just got the book today and i finished it in few hours. I think that the author showed us again her capability of captivating our attention. In a very wonderful sence of humor Susie Lloyd tackles the ordinary scences of raising children, a mother's life and ordeals and makes them blessed. Wonderful reminder to the younger moms who are still in the ditches that there is a teenager in store for her in the future. In these times when our culture is so anti-child and anti-life this book is a wonderful tribute to the truth, and that is that children are blessings from God and they enrich our lives and fill them with meaning beyond ourselves. I can not recommend this book strong enough. You will love it, you will laugh all trough it and at the end you will be happier mom seeing your kids anew and awaiting for that blessed teenager!! Just buy it!!

Bless Me Father For I Have Kids by Susie Lloyd

I just read this book. I couldn't put it down, and I couldn't stop laughing. The last chapter, I was laughing so hard I was crying and then I couldn't read the words on the page any more. It is GREAT! If you are a Catholic mom, or know one, order one right now, while supplies last!
