This story is the hottest dom/sub story yet! Their relationship blazes from the first chapter. The end was a little weak but overall it was a thoroughly satisfying read!

Hot In Oklahoma

Blade's Desire is the second story I've read in the Desire, Oklahoma series. Blade is a Dom and Kelly Jones is the woman he wants. She has been abused by a sick lover and now wants to start life anew in Desire. She is really attracted to Blade, but, she is afraid that she can no longer be intimate with a man because of her past. She asks Blade for help and the story begins. This book is super hot! Blade Royal is just the type of dream alpha male that any woman would want. He's hot, sexy, domineering but still gentle! What a combination. The men in this town are smoking hot and the way they love and protect their women is fabulous. In Desire, every kind of consenting adult relationship is allowed to thrive and I can't wait to read about the next one.

This author does an excellent job of chronicling every inch of what it means to be in a healthy, safe and loving BDSM relationship between two consenting adults. When I started reading this series, I didn't know what to expect. I'm pleased to say that I've stumbled on an author that's talented at telling her stories with love, skill and originality. Kelly and Blade are first introduced in Desire for Three featuring Jesse Erickson and her husbands, Clayton and Rio. Blade takes his responsibilities as a Dom very, very seriously in his personal and work life. What's amazing and superb is that when he falls harder for Kelly, he learns more about his own heart, mind and soul as a Dom. He find himself evolving to a different and more complex level of dominance that is by far more rewarding than anything he's ever experienced. He learns this through trial and error with Kelly. In turn, it warmed my heart to see Kelly heal and grow after spending years in an abusive, destructive and humiliating relationship with a psychotic man. There are many readers who will understand and relate to her story on some level, and anyone reading this story will appreciate Ms. Brooke's insightful, solid and thoughtful handling of this subject. I cheered for Kelly when she regained her strength, sexuality and confidence, reminding me that many women (and men) are not this fortunate. Blade's Desire is set in the unique town of Desire, Oklahoma where men protect, worship and dominate the women who live and love within the iron clad rules that work for everyone. Ms. Brooke's Desire series earns platinum stars, especially for this excellently written sequel that demonstrates the truth behind BDSM lifestyles with characters that will make you smile, cry, laugh and blush. Kelly Jones has only been in Desire, Oklahoma for a short period of time but has noticed a few things. First, the men are alpha and the women are smiling. The perfect place to hide away from an abusive boyfriend, Kelly spends her time working with her friend in their new business and doing her best to come to grips with the feelings she is beginning to have for Blade Royal. Blade is everything that should scare Kelly to death. He is dominant. He is hard and tough. He is utterly desirable and it is because of these traits that Kelly takes a chance and agrees to give Blade six weeks. Six weeks in which she is at his beck and call. She has never looked forward to something so much in her life. Having read the first installment of this new series by Leah Brooke, Desire for Three, I had no doubts that I would enjoy BLADE'S DESIRE just as much, if not more. I had no idea the impact this powerful and sensuous novel would have on me. From the raging emotions exhibited by Blade to the innocent yet sultry feelings emitted by Kelly, I could not stop reading nor thinking about this book. Blade was the epitome of what a dominant male should be. He was demanding, dark, and desirable and his entire focus was on Kelly and how much he wanted her. Nothing in his entire treatment of her could have been anything but love because his entire being hummed with his feelings towards this beautiful but scared woman. Kelly Jones recently moved to Desire, Oklahoma under the advice of her best friend Jesse. She isn't looking for a romantic relationship - her last one resulted in so much physical and mental abuse that she's not sure she'll ever be able to trust another man - never mind actually have sex again. That doesn't stop her from falling for Blade, the self proclaimed Dom who's gone out of his way to make sure Kelly feels comfortable in his presence. Blade Royal has been enamored of Kelly since she first arrived in Desire but he knows women well enough to sense her extreme discomfort and the fear radiating off her tells him that taking his time with her is of the utmost importance. He's a Dominant man and takes great pride in his position helping other Doms and submissives with issues they're experiencing or even training them in ways to improve their relationships. Kelly's comfortable in her new life in Desire and loves working with Jesse at their fast growing business, Indulgences. The only trouble she's having is dealing with her growing feelings for Blade. His status as a Dom is offsetting and Kelly's not at all sure she's ready for everything getting involved with him would entail. Jesse convinces her to give Blade a chance but Kelly's not quite ready to put her heart on the line just yet. She goes to Blade and asks him to help her figure out if she's ready to have sex and if she could give up control in the bedroom. She tries to play it off as an `in general' request but she doesn't want to be `trained' by anyone but Blade. Blade agrees to `train' her for the next six weeks - after that they'll talk. He's got plans to keep her but it won't do to let her know that she already has such power of him. Kelly has no doubt that she's in love with Blade but worries that she won't be the right sort of woman for him - especially considering how seriously he takes the Dom/sub lifestyle. She can't imagine herself being submissive all the time and is afraid that her independence could be a problem. He's warned her that lying will not be tolerated but neither of them realizes what being less than honest about their feelings for each other may cost them. Leah Brooke successfully became a must read author for me when I picked up a copy of the first book in this series - DESIRE FOR THREE. Since then I've eagerly anticipated the next story and I have to say BLADE'S DESIRE is well worth the wait. Kelly's emotional attachment to Blade is obvious right from the beginning and her fears and insecurities are something that many readers can easily understand. Blade has his Dom persona firmly in place but underneath he's a softie - especially when it comes to Kelly. The respect he has for women in general really shines through in this story and completely won me over. DESIRE, OKLAHOMA is more than just the name of Ms. Brooke's series, it's a town I wish truly existed exactly as she describes it because I'd move there in a heartbeat. Chrissy Dionne (
