This book provides an excellent look into Captain Teach's life and adventures. It's got dialogue so it's very engaging and an easy read. It also has a section toward the end that discusses some of the urban legends surrounding Blackbeard and the discovery of the Queen Anne's Revenge wreckage.
Take note: I'm not sure if it's just the edition that I bought or how the book is published, but it was written in 1997 and the typeface is very unusual for a book. It reminds me of typewriter font. Not hard to read - just different from what you'd expect a book to be published in.

Full of facts and legends, this book is very enjoyable to read. Ms Day makes you feel as if you're on-board with the fierce pirate! This is also a very good book for children. My 12 year old has read it twice!
