Excellent coverage of Bisexual/Trans lives

I recommend this book for all Human Resource officers, psychiatrists, psychologists, and other therapists treating transsexuals and bi-sexual people. I'm always amazed at the ignorance and insensitivity desplayed by professionals in the field toward the issues of bias and prejudice displayed within the artificial grouping called GLBT and this book gets right down to it. It also shows a softer, very human side of both Bi & T people and draws upon writers that aren't so-called professionals. After reading this book, anyone can take a better appreciation of the humanity and worth of these communities, their goals, and their longings.

"B"eautiful and very "T"imely

FINALLY! A book on the similarities, and differences, of "the others" is so long overdue. Alexander and Yescavage have assembled an impressive collection of scholarly, activist, and artistic literture that exemplifies the true diversity and beauty of gender and sexual expression. In a time when heterosexuals and homosexuals continue to stigmatize and silence bisexuals and transgender individuals, claiming that gender and sexuality are binary constructs, this book serves as a reminder that the world is not black-and-white and that "the others" should not only be accepted but should be celebrated. Kudos!
