Cool book but in poor condition

I love the idea behind the book but the one I received had been colored in and is several stains.

Great book not best condition

Nice book but wish it didn't already have pages colored in. That was disappointing.

Biology Teacher

I bought this book to suppliment the materials I present in my freshman HS Biology class. I already use the Botany and Zoology books in my Botany/Zoology course. The quality of the books is excellent. Specifically, the slides on Meiosis did a good job tracking each individual chromatid into its respective gamete. Perhaps the most useful is the slide that is depicted on the cover - the animal cell. Looking online for a decent animal cell depiction turns up some pretty sorry examples, far inferior to those found in this book. In addition to excellent drawings, the explanations that accompany each are very good. I highly recomend this book to anyone studying or teaching Biology at any level.

Good supplementary, review, or reference text for basic biology

I use this book as an optional/supplementary text in college, non-major biology classes. Some of the information and ideas are outdated, but the book has value on at least 3 different levels: (1)It presents the information in a different format than the main text, requiring a student to learn the differences (2)The actual coloring makes the students think about the materials longer than just "skimming" through it. (3)The diagrams of the cells, organelles, and human tissue systems allow the students to learn individual parts of these systems and/or the system as a whole. My students who buy this book tell me that it helps them study for tests. I use it as a quick reference guide if I want a brief overview of some process or body part. I recommend it for anyone who wants a visual summary of many of the aspects that are talked about when studying general or basic biological subjects

Excellent! Astounding! Just plain great!

I was taking an AP Biology course. And after every lesson I had in my book and class, I would then turn to the coloring book. It made things so much easier to understand (and it sometimes had information my textbook didn't). You read a paragraph, and then color the appropriate areas. Not only do you look at things piece by piece, you can remember what you saw, because: 1) you understand it 2) you colored it, and concentrated on it (especially the words, you're spelling will definitely improve!) 3) it's in color, so it stands out in your mind I reccommend this book for anybody who's taking a biology course. I just wish there was one for Chemistry!

This coloring book for biology is excellent.

I liked coloring in, the important structures in biology. It helped me to remember the concepts better. I also used Patrick Leonardi's "The Ultimate Study Guide for Biology: Key Review Questions and Answers with Explanations" Volume 1, Volume 2, Volume 3. These study guides were great for test preparation because these were the similar questions asked on my college biology exams. I also found the biology coloring book to have great sections on DNA, Genetics, Ecology, Biology of Plants, Biology of Animals, Human Biology, Reproduction and Development. This is an excellent visual. This four books are extremely helpful for college biology.

I believe this is a terrific book.

This is great and can be used for anyone to learn about cell biology.
