very comprehensive biology textbook

This book (in two volumes) is packed with diagrams and a wide range of tables along with extensive and detailed text. Easy to read. Suprisingly easy to locate information considering it's two volume format. While this book will probably answer nearly all of your biological questions, it is getting slightly old now and can be a little too detailed at times. Overall, very good.
