Book Biohazards by Michael Rogers deals with biomedical research and the hazards/dangers. It is loaded with facts. Page 34:"Thus, from ten to thirty million American children in the years between 1955 and 1961 received, along with their polio shot, a dose of live SV40 virus." Subject of cloning is interesting and equally frightening. Page 136 "Who could tell, went the argument, whether one of those random genes, introduced on a plasmid into something like E. coli might not suddenly render that bacterium hazardous to humans or, for that matter, to some other unfortunate resident of the biosphere?" Page 54 "...Besides opening up press coverage, he helped talk Berg into the official taping of the proceedings, a tape which by previous agreement will not be released for fifty years."
