Libby Miller Fitzgerald, Bill Miller's eldest child, has written the complete biography of her father. The book was written over 20 years after his untimely death, and I was amazed at the detail she captured so many years after the end of his political career. The book brings to life a man who otherwise might have been lost to history after his unfortunate defeat as Barry Goldwater's running mate in 1964. I've always considered myself a friend of Bill's, coming from Western New York, lived and worked in Lockport in the late '60's and being a guest at his home. Bill played a key role in the tumultuous US politics during the 1960's and 1970's and Libby's story of her father during this period should be of interest to anyone who knew Bill or is interested in another viewpoint of politics during this period.
