A man in his thirties, depressed and dissociative, tries not to lose his shit in Hawaii. "I read them. There's so much good in there but I feel like it's all hiding between your refusal to use a period and your love of the words "and" and "but". And that kind of trying to work it out on the page writing is not without its charm but it's kind of hard to read. There's some really great lines in there but sometimes I have to read a sentence like 3 times because I lose my train of thought in how long it is. I start thinking that I'm reading a long sentence and I forget that I should be reading words. But the material is great. And the way you write it is different but hard to concentrate at parts. It's a fun read. It's just hard at points. But if that's what you're going for then I think you did what you wanted. And I'm kind of used to it already. It might shock someone else's system. But that could be a good thing. It'll either turn people off or really make sense to them which is probably exactly what you want it to do. If they don't love it make them stop reading it right away. What's the point of trying to force yourself to get through something you're not super into." - my brother
