A Train

I heard this version of ATrain on the radio (i emailed the dj to find out where she got it). it has a wonderful, long intro before the famous 4 bar syncopated piano intro. when listening to the song from the top, you start to enjoy the nameless jazz that you can't quite put a finger on and then, finally, the piano intro and the main melody kicks in and you sit up and say, "hey i know this song!" oh, also, it has the lyrics! most versions of a-train are purely instumental. i'm buying this cd simply to have this version of a-train. i hope the rest isn't too bad.

A great dance mix

I have owned "Welcome to the Epidrome" for several years now. I haven't listened to it in ages because of my ever changing cd collection. "Welcome to the Epidrome" was one of the first dance mixed cds that I bought just when I was getting into house and trance music back in the late '90s in my drunken heyday of hitting the nightclub circuit and staying out late into the wee hours of the morning. It is one of my all time favorite mixed cds because I feel like I am in a nightclub like Chicago's own Cro-Bar dancing the night away. The production has that big, raw sound that makes the cd sound like it was mixed live in a nightclub. The songs themselves are great, mostly house music but there is a twinge of trance music. I'm not a house music fan that I once was years ago but I can still listen to "Welcome to the Epidrome" and enjoy the music while getting ready to hit clubs like Taboo or Escape on a Saturday night.

Non-stop hi-energy mix!

Wow! I found this disc by accident; I never found a compilation that replicates a live mix at world-class discos like Respect & Swan in Paris, The Garage in NYC, etc. One song is better than the next. Outrageous to work out to, or to drive with the top down. Far better than Junior's recent remix. Just try not to dance!
