A great way for parents and kids to bond!

Reviewed by Stephanie, Parish (age 3), and Isaac Rollins (age1) for Reader Views (5/07) Daniel Partner's "Bible Devotions for Bedtime" is simple and fun to read. Each Bible story is two short pages. The font is large. The illustrations are bright and large. Each story begins with a short Bible verse that is expanded upon. At the end is a line or two of a related prayer. There are no denominational overtones. This is strictly Biblical. Both the New Testament and Old Testament are used for these Bible stories. Parish loved the Noah's Ark illustrations. The stories were short enough to keep her attention. Isaac flipped through the book many times to look at the illustrations. When I asked Parish if she wanted to give the book away, she said she wanted to keep it. This is recommended.

Beginning Bible study, beginning reading.

These short Bible stories are perfect for my nearly four year old granddaughter. They are in simple language and written in a way that she can actually read many of the words. Too often I will reject a Bible study book because the editor's interpretations overshadow what the Bible is actually saying. I do not believe that is true for this book. I recommend this as a beginning Bible study book for pre-school children.
