Hands down the best book for educators and parents

This book is more than a series of simplistic exercises. McKim treats the poetry of children with respect and playfulness, and supports the work with her rich background in the oral tradition of poetry. Children and young adults, (not to mention parents and teachers) will find the examples and techniques in this book encourage the natural poetic inclination to play with words and have serious fun. McKim is a published poet, and has made her living through teaching teachers for Lesley University for many years. This book is a gem.
