Another super book by Tamera

Molly Whitcomb journeys from Athens, Georgia to Timber Ridge, Colorado Territory, 1876, to accept a teaching position in an elementary school. Molly brings her expertise as a professional teacher and her love of books to share with more than fifty students. She also brings some carefully-guarded secrets, which she hopes to conceal from the local residents until she establishes her attributes and skill as a professional teacher. Immediately, upon her arrival in Colorado, Molly meets James McPherson, local guardian of law and order. Romantic sparks fly as soon as James and Molly meet, and she soon realizes that he's a man of high principles, who will no doubt condemn incidents in her past. However, the sheriff also harbors a family secret, which has kept him from marrying. It's inevitable that Molly and James will fall in love but, when the reader becomes aware of the emotional baggage they carry, it's impossible to believe that their love will ever result in a happy ending. In BEYOND THIS MOMENT, Ms. Alexander paints a true and marvelous portrait of the harsh realities of the Colorado frontier. Her novel will make you cry and laugh as you watch the story unfold, for strong emotions hold the reader's attention from the very first page. This is undoubtedly one of Ms. ALexander's best-written and memorable books.

Remarkable!

In a remarkable story of love, revelation and forgiveness, Alexander's Beyond the Moment takes you to the majestic Colorado Territory where you can sense the snowflakes brushing your face. You smile and sometimes shed a tear as her vivid characters come to grips with their secrets and trials. The Timber Ridge folks will remain in your life long after you turn the last page.

Beyond This Moment

I've never read a book by Tamera Alexander until "Beyond this Moment." I'm now officially a fan. Her story kept me turning pages yet savoring every scene--part of me not wanting it to end-- part of me anxious for what would happen next. Her setting and characters are well researched and authentic. Tamera Alexander's skillful writing whisks the reader away to the Colorado territory of 1876 and holds them until the last page when the reader reluctantly returns to present day to await the next novel in the Timber Ridge series due in the fall of 2009. This novel will be a favorite.

I loved this book...

What a perfect blend of romance, longing, deception, regret, forgiveness and grace. Set in the beautiful Colorado Territory in 1876, this book captured my attention from the very beginning and didn't let go until the final scene. Filled with strong, believable characters immersed in a tangled web of half-truths and outright lies, Tamera masterfully weaves in threads of hope and the God of second chances. Highly recommend.
