Beyond Borders

Beyond Borders was a very insightful and interesting text book. It comprises of many short essays, so the reader gets to read many different points of views. The authors of the essays are from many different cultures, ranging from Mexican to African American. The essays are very informative and encourage the reader to think about the material. They are not a simple read, but are not too difficult for college level audiences. The essays in this text book focus mainly on the problems of racism and identity. They discuss solutions and reasons for these problems, as well as their personal opinions on the subjects. The authors of the essays are from a wide array of cultures, so the book is very diverse and exposes the reader to many insights. I found this book to be an interesting read for a text book. It really encouraged me to think for myself and form my own opinions.
