The silent stories of our ancient land and its native peoples are given voices in reverential prose poems and radiant paintings This description may be from another edition of this product.
I purchased this book for my grandsons to learn about the culture and religions of Native Americans. At first they were so-so about this. Now, when I visit, they can't wait to tell me what they have learned. I don't know the historical accuracy of the book, all i know is it has generated a respect for and an interest in the children to learn more about our Native Americans. Mission accomplished!

The children loved the story and the art work, and I did as well. This is one of the those stories that I love reading at bedtime. We've been studying nature awareness in our homeschool, and this is one of the books we are using.
