In Menominee tribal culture, Bear Clan members are speakers and keepers of the law. Betty Bear and her sister Claire live on a horse farm, but every winter the water troughs freeze. Betty decides to design a geothermal energy system to prevent another winter of frozen troughs. However, Betty quickly learns that she may have bitten off more than she can chew.
