My grandmother gave me this book for Christmas in 1952. My favorite story was the The Story of the Live Dolls. I made my mother read it to me over and over. When my granddaughter was three, I searched the internet for this book...so I could read that story to her.
A Favorite Childhood Memory

I received this book in 1958 and read it until many of the pages fell out. I still have the book and want to replace it as so many of the stories are still wonderful for all ages and want to continue to share them. I too would like to see a reprint made. I read it often to children who visit and where the pages are missing, I just make up those parts from memory.A great little story book that covers stories that interest boys and girls, young and older.
Should be as classic

This book has a variety of stories and illustrators. Some of the pictures seemed old-fashined even when I was a child in the fifties. That just added to the allurement of this book. I'd like to see this book in print again. We Baby Boomers would love it and could share it with our children and grandchildren.

MY GRANDMOTHER READ TO ME FROM THIS BOOK EVERYDAY AND I NEVER GREW TIRED OF THE WONDERFUL STORIES. IT HAS SUCH A VARIETY OF TRULY GREAT TALES. THE LITTLE BEAVERS SINGING,THE MIXED UP ALPHABET, THE BROWNIES AND THE LITTLE GIRL WHO LEARNED TO TREAT HER KITTENS WITH RESPECT WERE AMONG MY FAVORITES. NOT TO MENTION PETER RABBIT AND THE LITTLE RED HEN. I CANT WAIT TO SHARE THIS BOOK WITH MY CHILDREN!
Needs to be published again

Just like Eloise, this classic 50's book needs to be in print again. It contains a fantastic array of childhood stories, from Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit, to Joel Chandler Harris' stories about Uncle Remus. It has simple rhymes and great read along stories. Surely this book will enjoy the same success as Eloise if it makes it back into print.
