After a 15 year or so absence, I am looking to take up the sport of golf again. One of the books I have checked out of the public library is "Better Golf" by Steve Newell. Among the topics covered include: 1. History of golf. 2. Famous golfers. 3. Equipment. 4. Great golf courses. 5. Different types of shots: chipping, pitching, driving, putting, etc. 6. Tips for having a lower score. 7. Rules you should know. The book is full of colorful pictures and illustrations and I was able to pick up some helpful pointers (keep your head down while putting, when driving - line the ball up closer to your left foot if right-handed, for closer shots - line the ball up either between your legs or closer to your right leg, etc.). The book appears to be more geared for the intermediate or advanced player. Someone like me would benefit more from a more basic book. Still, a good read. Recommended.
Tiger makes the cover but NO WHERE ELSE

The book is helpful but I have one real concern with the book: How is it possible that Tiger Woods is on the cover of this book but somehow not mentioned in any other place?
