I read a handful of Christopher Knight novels in 2022, and this was hands-down my favorite novel of the entire year!
A publishing author takes her annual vacation to a remote cabin in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, but strange events happening around the cabin tell her she is not alone.
I devoured this novel and dreaded going into work because I knew I wouldn't be able to read while at work. I had to know what happened next!
If you like books, Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Thrillers, Horrors, and crazy endings, you must read this!
A Good Summer Read

Set in the beautiful, but barely populated, Upper Penninsula of Michigan, this thriller provides a story within a story. The main character is a book publishing agent of psychological thrillers who goes on an isolated vacation to catch up on some work and "R & R". One morning, she finds a book envelope on the front porch of her cabin, with a manuscript called "Bestseller" about a book agent on vacation in an isolated cabin who is stalked, attacked and, finally killed by a mad-man author.Where did "Bestseller" come from?-- She didn't remember bringing it with her.... Meanwhile, "Bestseller"'s crazy author hides nearby, watching her every move, waiting to implement the next chapter of "Bestseller's" plot .... You get the idea. Not great literature, but a fun read, especially if you are on a cabin vacation! Some parts are a little gross or overly viscious (in my opinion), so I just skimmed by them.
