These are first rate authors/researchers in the field of literacy teaching. The book reads like a text book and thus can be used for research writing as well as in the classroom.

Best Practices are lessons for teachers that have proven results. It's a must read for any literacy teacher. It has hands on examples and in depth discussion for any skill level, any grade. I use these lessons teaching ESL in S. Korea with wonderful results.
