This guide features suggested itineraries for short stays, the city's best eats, quirkiest sites, top attractions for kids and much more. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book has everything you need to navigate -- and have fun in -- San Francisco: a section devoted to "Highlights" gives you ideas for what you mustn't miss; "Sights and Activities" covers just about everything else. Plus there are solid suggestions as to where to eat, sleep and have fun. One of the best parts of the book, however, is the way that every recommended activity, restaurant or hotel is clearly cross-referenced to the included maps. The writing is clear, occasionally wry and always frank. Plus, this compact li'l guy will fit into your pocket! I enjoyed SF more because I had this book as my companion; I cannot think of a higher compliment for a travel book.
Very useful if you plan a short stay

I was in S.Francisco for a few days, and I found this little guide extremy useful and nicely done. In particular, in a short space it gives good recommendations for sightseeing, museums and arts, music, local cuisine, etc. A must if you plan a quick visit, or a short tour around the bay. Enrico
