It IS the Best!

Lives up to its name: Best-Ever! My favorite food is Indian and I'm not a cook - I have to have excellent directions and information and pictures, and this book delivers! Photos of the steps, with explanations (such as spices and techniques), and history/geographic specialties. The food is delicious (!) and very authentic (I've sampled a lot over the years - this tastes like some of the best Indian restaurant food). Plus, the food is great for a lot of health issues: very healthy, fresh and minus many allergy/sensitivity items. I always feel better after eating this food! Yum!

Outstanding cookbook for Indian lovers, Thai lovers, and much more

This is an outstanding cookbook for curry lovers. Really beautiful food photos, thoughtful layout, easy to understand recipes, and the highest percentage of "holy s----, that worked out great!" recipes I can remember. I'm particularly fond of the Indian recipes, but we've also made some great Thai curries and other curries (Indonesian, Burma, etc). Seriously, it's a great book. In a world where so many recipes are online, this is the kind of book that makes it still WORTH it to have real cookbooks. It's large size (but not too large), and the great photos make you really want to cook things, and we've been superhappy with the recipes we've tried. And this is for a couple that owns lots of cookbooks that we never use -- most of them small and black-text-on-white-paper, blah. I'm going to buy another copy to give as a gift. I'm also inspired to buy other books from this author, there's one about low-fat Indian cuisine.

The receipes are very good and having photos available allows you to gauge if you have done the right thing. Excellent book
