Perfect travel book

This is the perfect book to carry along with you on a short trip. It slips easily into a pocket or bag, and covers all the highlights of sightseeing. It has a handy map that gets you to where you're going, and a decent description of the city. I like to use it in conjunction with larger and more descriptive travelbooks -- I'll read through them before I go and mark off interesting-sounding sights in the Citypack (or make notes in the margin). Then once I'm actually on the road, the Citypack serves as a good reminder of what I want to see, and lets me leave the heavy books at home.

HELPFUL!

I was so glad to have this with me on my week-long trip to Toronto!

Perfect Little Guide

This little guide book is just what I was hoping it would be. Just enough info to help me determine where to go and what to see, yet small enough to fit into my already over-crowded purse. There is a great little detailed map of the city that provided all the info I needed. The material is current, and even provided websites for some of the hotels I was considering, which helped tremendously.

Good for the short trip

Fodor's Toronto City Pack is a good choice if you plan to be in Toronto for less than a week. Its convenient size makes it easy to slip in a pocket or purse. Because of the plastic cover it is durable and useable in any weather. The inside cover has a handy map for quick orientation. A full-sized map tucked into the back flap will help with more serious perusals. The guide is concise and well organized by topic and includes an introduction, walking tours, and practical information. The Top 25 Attractions section has pictures along with highlights and handy information in the margin. The top attractions are listed from west to east not by importance. It makes the Royal Botanical Gardens and the McMichael Collection seem like their top two picks. Prices for the Top 25 are not given but listed as inexpensive, expensive, or free. This was probably a good idea because under their Free Activities they list the tour of the CBC; however, it is no longer a free tour. Restaurants and hotels, though limited in number, are listed in a logical manner. All in all, the book is a good resource for the short or one-time visit.

Citypack Toronto

Easy to follow, hits the highlights quickly. THe addition of a map was very useful. Size is perfect for stuffing into a purse!
