Love it!

Great story that my 3 year-old loves. It's a bit long, but she sits through the whole thing. I think as she gets older, she will come to appreciate the underlying lessons of loyalty and friendship.

Wonderful. Delightful

This is currently the favorite book of my almost three-year-old. It's a sweet story, and we've really enjoyed the language, too. Bently has such a delightful way of speaking, and I have found my daughter saying, "It's pandemonium!" We love it.

Bently & Egg book review

Bently and Egg by William Joyce is a good book. I like this book because of its adventure and how people can talk to animals. The setting to the animals looks like a jungle but to people it's just a garden. The book is about a duck that lays an egg and asks a frog named Bently to watch it while she is gone, but the egg gets stolen by a boy who thinks it is an Easter egg. Now Bently must go on an adventure to find it. The resolution is that Bently gets the egg back. When he gets home the egg hatches into a duckling. The duckling is named Ben after Bently. I would recommend this book. I would recommend it because it is a very good children's book and I think they would like it. It is a good children's book because animals can talk and a frog can go on an adventure using a toy boat to get across a pool and he can use a parachute to get down to the garden. That could make kids use their imagination. It is a good book for 1st and 2nd grade because it is too hard for kindergarten or younger and it is too is easy for 3rd grade and above.

Make This a Movie!

I agree with the reader from Virginia--reading this I pictured it as a movie. Totally delightful and imaginative.

delicate and charming
