Benjamin's playful experiment to find how many things he can do with an empty paper bag leads him to an informative encounter with a bag lady who has no home of her own. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a lovely little story of a boy who is jealous of the older members of his family but when he meets a homeless woman he wants to give her some of his things. (It is NOT a retelling of events in the life of Jesus, as the description on this site says!) There is no religious content to the story itself. There is a page of discussion questions at the end of the book which does raise some religious issues. The book was illustrated by Chris Raschka before he became well-known. It is worth owning for that reason alone!
