Reporter Cassa Hawkins has always supported Breed rights-especially in light of a specimen like Cabal St. Laurents, the epitome of the male animal. But when the Breeds are incriminated in a series of... This description may be from another edition of this product.

Still can't get enough of the Breeds

Book after book I still love the alpha Breeds. I was surprised to find out that Cabal was tamer than Tanner in the bedroom. With their history I would have expected him to be a little darker although ignoring his mate for 11+ years is a little dark. Still...very yummy and I can't wait for the next one. Loved Dog in this book and look forward to learning more about him. Will Jonas' story really be next or are we being teased again? LOL

ANOTHER TRIUMPH FOR LARA LEIGH

Lara Leigh succeeds in producing another wonderful book in her Breeds series, pulling the reader into her intriguing world of breeds and their mates. Bengal's Heart is a touching story about Cabal, a Bengal breed who has witnessed the deaths of many of his breed, and Cassa, a determined, independent journalist who is struggling with guilt over the part that she unwittingly played in their deaths. The relationship between Cabal and Cassa is fun and feisty, with plenty of hot and heavy scenes throughout. Anyone who has read Leigh's previous books will enjoy this one as well! If you are new to the series or to this author, you will not be disappointed.

A Man and Tiger: A shared Heart

Bengal's Heart is the latest in the Breed series. A series revolving on men playing God, genetic experiments turning on their creators, and the souls and hearts that were supposedly beaten out of the Breeds, finding their other halves. I have followed the Breed series since the first one Tempting the Beast. By the way if you haven't started from the first of the Feline Breed series, you need to, the whole series reads way better if you start from the beginning. You also get glimpses of characters from future books, and what they were like when they were younger. So Cabal.... Cabal, Cabal, Cabal. In Tanner's Scheme I had no idea that this tightly controlled sexy Bengal would have his own mate, one that he's know since his fateful escape from the lab. But Cassa is perfect. Isn't that something that Lora Leigh is amazing at? Each Breed male or female is given a mate that at first might not seem to be the best match, but at the end of the books you realize that that mate was exactly what the Breed needed to heal and to love. The series starts with Cassa's husband betraying her and the Breeds she was trying to help escape. Cabal was there, and indirectly blames her for trusting the wrong man to touch her, to hold her, and to go on missions with her. Over the years Cassa and Cabal try to keep their distance both for different reasons, Cabal can't forgive her, yet knows that's not rational, and Cassa fears him, as well as knows that he's her mate. Did I mention Cassa is also an investigative journalist? Something that the Breeds consider a necessary evil. Then Cassa finds herself being sent gruesome emails regarding what she believes is a rouge Breed killing off the rest of the Genetics Council. She agrees that the Council should be dealt with but if the pictures and story gets into the wrong hands, the Breeds could be portrayed in a very, very bad light. While following the story, Cabal is trying his best to block her attempts (Or is he trying to protect her from a crazy Breed that has targeted her?) They both set out determined each is right when the mating heat has decided it has had enough and throws both of them for a loop. This is a great great great novel. My top favorites are now Mecury's War and this one. Lora Leigh has done something authors strive to do, create a world that is so complete, so detailed, that the characters just pop out, and readers see them vividly. Start at the Beginning, trust me you'll love the series more!

love, love, love!

Lora Leigh has of course done it again and created a wonderful story between the sexy, bengal breed Cabal St. Lawrence and the sharp, loving Cassa Hawkins. I do not want to give anything away but the story was great and kept me guessing as to who could want Cassa dead in the little town where members from the deadly dozen are dying left and right. The relationship that develops between Cabal and Cassa has a long history of what Cabal sees as betrayal on Cassa's part. As Cabal eventually sees the light of day and Cassa's love for him as well as his love for her it may be too late to save her from the ones who want her dead. I highly suggest you read this book asap even if you haven't read the other books of this series because it is well worth it, especially the steamy scenes Lora Leigh writes magically.

Another winner in the Breed series! Five Blue Ribbons from Romance Junkies!

In the latest installment of Lora Leigh's successful Breed series, BENGAL'S HEART, readers are treated to a mating that's been a long time in the making. Reporter Cassa Hawkins and Bengal breed Cabal St. Laurents pair up to find a mysterious killer. They find the killer as well as something much more important - the love they have for each other. Eleven years ago Cassa Hawkins watched in terror and anger as a Bengal breed fought for his very life. Because of this, Cassa has devoted her life to reporting and paving the way for Breeds in society the best way she knows how. Given access to Sanctuary and Haven, Cassa does her best to release information and stories that will show the world that the Breeds are human beings with thoughts and feelings. She is trusted, sort of, and that is all she can ask for - until the night she is emailed pictures of a horrific murder with the promise of more deaths. With her reporter's eye for facts and her heart in her throat, Cassa begins her investigation knowing that the one man she can never have will do his best to keep her from this assignment - Cabal St. Laurents, a breed unlike any she has ever met but can't help but desire with every ounce of her being. The man she has eluded and avoided for years because of what she is to him - she is his mate and he has yet to claim her. Cabal St. Laurents is one of the most dangerous breeds ever born. He hides his true persona under a guise of playfulness and playboy antics, some of which are legendary. With his brother mated, Cabal has been at a sort of loose ends with his life. But his life changes in an instant when the director of the Bureau of Breed Affairs gives him a new assignment - that of following a certain inquisitive reporter and making sure she stays out of the investigation being conducted to find a killer. With just one kiss, Cabal sets his plan in motion, that of tying Cassa to him for eternity. Now all he has to do is convince her to stay out of his investigation - which proves harder than he thought. Suddenly when information comes pouring in about the murderer they are trying to find, his mate is caught in the middle. Cabal knows the animal that is inside of him, and where his mate is concerned, all bets are off. Cassa is his heart, and it is time she accepts the love he feels for her before it is too late. Finding the words to describe such an extraordinary novel is difficult at best. Anything that I could say to express how different, creative, and scorching hot BENGAL'S HEART is just seems boring. Cabal St. Laurents is alpha to the bone but tender and compassionate. He loves with his whole heart, and Cassa was the reason his heart still beat within his chest. He fought their mating, not because he didn't want her, but because he knew it would possibly place her in danger. His stubbornness to share his ideas and facts about the investigation created an almost chasm between these explosive lovers. It isn't until Cassa's life
