Benang

Having read Kim Scott's first book, True Country, I was keen to read Benang. The style of narrative requires some adjustment and makes the reader work rather than read passively . Scott's characters are well developed as slowly the layers of the story form. Some of the content is shocking, however, Scott shows by omission and then inclusion of more facts further on, weaving everything together for the final revelations. Thematically all Australians should read this book, love it or hate it. I look forward to his next novel.
