Unique and fantastic

Jess was stolen by a corrupt and cruel vampire 5 yrs ago. Forced to do unspeakable things and endure horrible torture she is quite traumatized. The only thing that got her through these five years is a diary she found depicting the love and life of Farida and Mason. When opportunity presents itself Jess is able to kill the cruel vampire that had held her hostage for so long. Wanting to complete one thing before she dies she heads to the Sahara to see Farida's burial site. On her deathbed from killing her previous master she makes it to Farida's eternal resting place. What she didn't expect to find was Mason and the fact he is a vampire. Unable to let her go Mason mark's her as his servant in order to grant her a chance at a real life. Flashing back in forth between Farida's journal and Jess' POV this is an incredible story of love lost and new love beginning. Understandably Jess has a hard time accepting what a severant life is suppose to be and that most vampires are not abusive. Being an erotic novel, it isn't what i expected, the erotica parts is mostly hearing what Jess went through and what Mason wants to do with her. There aren't that many scenes with Jess and Mason actually together having sex. Not to say that it isn't sexy as hell, just in different ways. I loved this book, loved the journey Jess and Mason went through. There were also apperances of Lyssa & Jacob and Dev & Danny. Highly reccomend this novel

5 Hearts from TRS!

Joey W. Hill captivates me with this tale. Imagination, acts of courage that will astound even those who are used to reading about the paranormal, and a love story that is timeless in so many ways will keep the reader turning the pages in fascination. Eroticism flavored with bondage, domination and ménage relations is not for the faint of heart. Unique twists to this book make it stand out from other paranormal romances. The story itself is one that builds the characters in our mind through many faceted looks at each through the eyes of the two main players and others they interact with. A truly different world is constructed that looks at vampires and other paranormal beings as an organized entity with a ruling counsel. For those who look for a unique book filled with a story told with expertise, romance and suspense, this is a winner. It's one of the best paranormal erotic tales I've read in a long time. - Dee Dailey

excellent vampire thriller

Master vampire Raithe tortured Jessica as his imprisoned servant for several years. She escaped by killing her tormentor. In the Sahara, she plans to die, but another vampire Mason saves her life. His retinue shows kindness towards his latest marked servant trying to help Jessica heal especially mentally. At the same time she begins to recover from her horrific ordeal, the Vampire Council decides to execute Jessica for killing Raithe as no one is allowed to get away with killing a master except them no matter what evil he may have perpetrated on their slayer. Meanwhile Jessica becomes fascinated with the three-hundred years old diary of Farida, Mason's beloved human servant even as she ponders whether she wants to be his present day "concubine". The latest Joey W. Hill vampire thriller (see A VAMPIRE'S CLAIM, THE VAMPIRE QUEEN'S SERVANT and THE MARK OF THE VAMPIRE QUEEN) is a terrific entry with a fascinating theme that a human servant who kills a master vampire for whatever reason (including rape) must be executed; the theory behind the premise is similar to the slave owners which to keep the masses from revolting and slaying their "owners". The story line is fast-paced from the onset as Jessica feels as arid as the Sahara that beckons her to add her dust to the sand. Vivid and filled with action as executioners are coming for the servant who killed her master, fans will relish Ms. Hill's super entry in an extraordinary saga. Harriet Klausner

Jessica Tyson finds herself in the middle of the Sahara desert looking for the tomb of a woman who died centuries ago. Farida's journal has kept Jessica sane through five years of torture from her former vampire master. She was partially third marked so she doesn't look like the 29 year old woman she is, she looks frail and is dying but she is determined to find Farida's tomb before she dies. She wants to die with her fantasy of the girl and her lover Lord Mason. The fantasy that has kept her alive this long, of a Djinn and his love for a slave girl so very long ago. She wants to find the tomb prove she was right, there is a love that can survive all, even death, for legend says that the Djinn to this day guards Farida's tomb and never lets harm come to his beloved. When Jessica does manage to get to the tomb she finds not a Djinn waiting for her but a very ticked off vampire. He's mad that his beloved's resting place is disturbed. Jessica just wants to die now; her last dream has been shattered. Only once Lord Mason finds Jessica he is not so willing to let her go. Can she stand being bound yet again to a vampire? Even a kind one? One that saves her from death only to enslave her to himself? Will Jessica choose death over continuous torture again? And can Lord Mason's love bring her back from the hell she was in? Joey W. Hill has a very complicated and intricate tale of love, loss and finding your soul again in Beloved Vampire. Jessica is a strong woman. She is on the verge of death and crawls on her hands and knees to find the woman's tomb that has held her sanity together all these years. She has been tortured almost beyond sanity. Can Lord Mason's love bring her all the way back from the hell she has lived? Lord Mason is a complicated vampire. He has a soul, conscious and heart that will make the readers fall in love with him. He wants to do the right thing, but Jessica is a very broken woman, and doing the right thing is very hard to do with her. How can you help someone when the help you give them drives them over the brink of sanity? I found this novel to be very intense and very multi-layered. This is not a light read; this is a novel to pick up when you have some time. There are some situations that some readers might find objectionable, such as, but not limited to BDSM, torture and things that allude to many past horrors. I highly recommend taking the time to really read Beloved Vampire. I think you will fall in love with the characters as much as I have. This is the fourth in the Vampire Queen series, but can be read alone and enjoyed. I highly recommend reading the entire series, though, it really should not be missed. If you love your romance to be angst-ridden and extremely emotionally charged you really need to pick up Beloved Vampire by Joey W. Hill, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic!

Jessica Tyson is heading towards her death. She's spent the last five years under the thumb of a sadistic vampire. She's on the run and ready to be done with this life looking for a final resting place of a woman who's ancient journals have given her a thread of sanity through her ordeal. When she's unexpectedly rescued, she is not sure if she'll ever have the ability to be whole again, let alone love. Lord Mason still hasn't recovered from the loss of his wife but Jessica touches something in him like no one has in many years. This is another (stand alone) story in Joey Hill's incredible Vampire series and this is my absolute favorite so far. It's a very intense story as Jessica has had some terrible abuse that is seen in flashback's but it's also a very moving story about faith, hope and the power of love. There are some very special scenes with some of the characters of her previous stories, Lady Lyssa and Jacob and Lady Dani and Dev. A very moving and powerful story that I highly recommend.
