BELIERVERS WONDERFUL ESTATE

The book discusses the wonderful inheritance or estate of all the elect. That is, all those that were chosen by God the Father before the foundation of this world and given to his beloved Son Jesus Christ. These people are collectively called the church of Christ and these are they that Jesus redeemed by blood; and God gave them power to become sons of God. And if sons then heirs and joint heirs with Christ. Brethren, redemption is not only deliverance from the penalty of sin but also to the greater blessing called "Acceptance in the Beloved." This book discusses this inheritance and the title deed or surety of this divine estate, the terms of the will as well as administration or appropriation of the estate since God has empowered his children to be heirs as well as administrators of the estate. In order to have a foretaste of this blessed estate in this life and in readiness of full embrace in the life to come, the Holy Spirit must wither out all fresh. He must show us what flesh truly is; it is corruption itself even when it does righteous things. It is the body of this death and anything that arises from flesh is baptized with death. The Holy Spirit destroys the flesh by undermining or looking down upon anything that would elevate our self-esteem and make us feel worthy and important before the sons of men. This book discusses in details how the Holy Spirit does that. Further, this withering lead to a disposition in which the believer look down with contempt upon any joy or promise of peace and hope that arise from the flesh and the world. He count all things as loss in the Excellency of the knowledge of Christ. He refuses to find solace in the flesh and the world that he may have Christ and be found in him in Christ's righteousness not that found in the law. This book, brethren, also give details of the meaning of "counting all things as loss" and how it is appropriated in practical Christian living. It is our hope that this book will be a blessing and an instrument by which the reader's heart will be strongly awakened towards Christ and the mysteries of Godliness.
