Wonderful Book

I was looking for a book of rich Christmas stories as my children get older. This is it. My daughter is 8, and we have been reading "A Light in the Lantern" for years. It is a lovely book for all children, and I highly recommend it as well. "Behold that Star" offers longer stories that reflect a spirit of selflessness. It includes 15 stories in 355 pages: The Angel's Poind of View (J.B. Phillips) The Shephards (Ruth Sawyer) The Well of the Star (Elizabeth Goudge) The Three Gifts (Jane T Clement) the Children's Crusade (Ernst Wiechert) The Poor Children's Christmas (Ernst Wiechert) The Angel's Song (Marie Onnen) Hallelu-nein (Marie Berg) Brother Robber (Helene Christaller) The Legend of the Christmas Rose (Selma Lagerlof) The Worker in Sandalwood (Marjorie Pickthall) The Forest Bear (Reimmichl) The Chess Player (Ger Koopman) The Cribmaker's Trip to Heaven (Reimmichl) Journey to Christmas (B.J. Chute) From the back: Looking for a fresh collection of read-aloud stories to usher in the season of joy and giving? For those grown tired of commercialism, who feel that Santa Claus and red-nosed reindeer to not project the true christmas spirit, this book may be the answer. Containing little-known classics by old and new masters of the genre, this best-selling anthology includes stories from many lands, interspersed with songs and poems - over half the contents available in English for the first time.
