Enjoy and Savor each story!

I have not had much exposure to short stories, but after reading Behind the Front Door by John Powell Riley I will seek them out. I enjoyed the succinct writing in each story and the twists that Riley offered in many endings. I was amazed by the experiences he has had in his lifetime and was delighted by his storytelling. This collection takes you on a journey that includes Texas, the French Riveria, Tokyo, Athens, Madrid, Rome and the USS Nashville. His life experiences are extremely interesting and he presents them with an air of humor and sophistication. The back cover closes with ''Read and enjoy.'' It is my approximation that you will do just that. This is a good read that might cause tinges of jealousy due to his exciting and interesting life experiences. His willingness to share his memories is wonderful. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in reading a well-crafted collection of short stories.
